AEL Web Based Portal 

AEL is pleased to offer health care providers access to secure, web-based electronic laboratory test ordering and resulting utilizing the AEL Web Based Portal. The AEL Portal is an easy-to-use, HIPAA compliant application that is secured through SSL encryption protection. The application is designed to streamline your AEL  service and improve work flow in your office. 

The AEL Portal allows you to order tests and view laboratory results from any PC or mobile device with a high-speed internet connection using a log in with a pre-assigned confidential pass code. Laboratory results are available to you as soon as testing is completed in the lab. You are able to retrieve past patient results, look up specimen requirements prior to specimen collection, check ICD-10 diagnosis codes, and print ABNs when necessary. There are additional features with the portal to aid you in managing your patients and their laboratory results.

EMR/EHR/PMS Interfaces

AEL has interface capability with any EMR, EHR, or PMS system. Interfaces may range from a bridge to transfer current patient demographic information from your billing system to the AEL  Web Based Portal, a uni-directional interface that sends results to your EMR/EHR system, or orders and results capability with your EMR/EHR system. AEL interfaces designed to use industry standard HL7 or custom/proprietary formats, required to integrate with any EMR. Please contact your local AEL representative for further information on interface solutions.

LabCalls for Pap Smear Results

As a convenience to you and your patients, AEL has an automated lab test hotline for Pap smear reporting. When you subscribe to this service AEL provides pre-printed cards that you give to your patients during their office visit. After 10 working days, your patients use their unique ID number that is provided to dial in and receive their automated confidential Pap result. If the patient prefers to use the LabCalls website to retrieve results, this option is also available. For more information on the LabCalls product please contact your local AEL representative.
